Printed/pictorial dj; spine and edges lightly toned/dusted, else good. At dawn, Aug 19, 1942, Operation Jubilee was launched: the British landing at Dieppe, France. The raid was disasterous: 6,000 British troops landed, but less 2,000 were evacuted. The raid at Dieppe has been rationalized as the testing ground for the Normandy invasion in 1944..
