Straight, tight and clean with no markings, slight spine-end touches, text-block edges deeply tanned as is common with this book. Dustjacket unclipped bearing original price, slight spine-end, edge and corner nicks, two short closed edge tears to front panel, rear panel rubbed, in new Brodart sleeve. The classic modern novel, one of the earliest in the psychological thriller genre, and basis for the 1962 Robert Aldrich film, starring Bette Davis, Joan Crawford and Victor Buono.
