These two books have been rebound as one; Hardcover; Bound by New Method Book Bindery Inc.; Front and back covers show minimal wear with a couple of bent corners; Inside front cover has a small sticker on the bottom right from the binding company; Both title pages have a previous owner's name at the top in ink; First book is 62 pages long and includes original foldout map in like new condition and an additional map page; Second book is 370 pages long and includes illustrations; There is no separator between the two books; Spine title and author are stamped in gold; Previous owner's initials are stamped in gold at the bottom of the spine; Pages are clean; Binding is tight.

Rare early issue of this seminal little magazine, includes collaborations and work by Ted Berrigan, Rene Ricard, et al. Unmarked copy, light wear and minor outer spots.

London: Big Venus, 1969. 1st edition. Soft cover. Very Good/No Jacket (as issued). Near VG. 4to, 36pp, stapled wrappers. Includes "Feel Free to Marry Emily Dickinson" by Richard Brautigan. This unmarked (except for penciled original price) copy is from the collection of contributor Opal Louis Nations. Issue also features work by George Dowden, Claude Pelieu, Lee Harwood, Robert Kelly, Clayton Eshleman, et al. Some white spotting (as from Nations's art materials) to front cover, small closed tear to back cover edge, light general wear, a little staple rust.

A great selection of written and graphic work from the early seventies avant-garde. Nice uncirculated copy, the fragile dustwrapper (printed on thin paper) is unusually well preserved.

Clarke School Alumni Association, 1947. Signed and inscribed by co-editors Alice Manning Williams and John Blake. Rare volume containing a history of the Clarke School for the Deaf, photographs and alumni information for this school for the deaf which offered high school preparatory and pre-vocational educational tracks. Illustrations on glossy black and white paper. Large section of alumni listings, many with checkmarks beside the name. Forward by editor Williams is an interesting snapshot in time: "For a certainty, fifteen alumni are divorced, though only four openly admitted it. All mention of divorces is accordingly omitted...the question "Are you married?" often provoked from the men the reply, "No, but I am looking for a wife." This is number _________" This field would normally be filled in by hand and the book would then be signed by the author. This field is blank and the book is not signed, making it a very rare item. Brown hardcover boards have dark brown leather spine which extends about an inch and a half onto covers. Bright gilt titles and decoration on front on leather. 71 pages on handmade or heavy ivory laid paper. Sewn binding. Recipes are "signed" with name of contributor, but there is no index of contributors. The book is typescript (you can see some errors and strikethroughs.) The separate index, also typescript appears to be a photocopy. Two folded pages of 8.5x11 inch white paper are folded in half widthwise and make up the eight-page index. It is tucked into the book.
