Sobre este artículo

New York: William Morrow & Company, 1964. 1st Edition 2nd Printing. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Stated "Second Printing, March 1964. Signed on half title page by the author. Navy blue cloth covers with gilt and white print. Stamped star circle on front cover. Blue pastedowns and free endpapers. 9.25" x 6.25". 307 pp. including index. Introduction by Allan Nevins. Probably without slipcase. Includes Bibliography, Index, Notes, and 15 photographic plates with information about the plates. This book has very little wear: a back cover gutter crease, a tiny corner tip crease, and slight spine ends' wear. The author never falters in his praise of Woodrow Wilson as a president; however, according to Nevins, this book also has valuable lessons for the future such as a lapse in executive authority may have dire consequences. Wilson's wife exercised her authority and Vice President Marshall did not take over for President Wilson when Wilson became ill. Nevins states that seldom does a historical monologue show the sad consequences of what might have been and what actually happened.
