Brick red ruled boards w/blindstamped borders, black stamped spine titles, moderate cover, corner wear. Front cover features blindstamped circular cameo of boy's diligent profile surrounded ruled borders. Classic antiquarian bookplate w/ornate borders and red stamp inside cover: "Wesleyen Methodist Sunday School, Prize Awarded to George Ingram, 100 Attendances during 1920". Frontispiece painting features boy shaking captain's hand: "He arrived in a much less exhausted condition than this friend". Pages near fine, moderate toning. String-bind good, intact. Near very good example of this classic volume.
