Carson (nee Urban) has lived in Labrador the past fifteen years, hence she is very familiar with the wonderful land she writes about in this, her first book- although she did have many of her poems published in several magazines. She also wrote the music for three of them! She lives in Goose bay, with her husband, Bill and their two boys, Chris 13 and Liam 15. She taught school for three years in her native Manitoba before she moved to Rankin Inlet where she met her future husband. Then she lived a short time in Port Churchill. They moved to Goose Bay in 1966. As you may note, she really loves the North and that love of the North shows through in this interesting book....
