FIRST EDITION 1961, a collection of new drawings after extensive travels abroad: Europe, America, plus the Anglo-Saxons at home and abroad. 4to, 285 x 220 mm, 11 x 8½ inches, black cloth, gilt vignette, gilt lettered spine, 128 pages. 122 pages of drawings, most full page, some double, brief captions by Searle. Gilt bright, no inscriptions, just slightly rubbed at head and tail of spine and corners, top corner of lower cover slightly bumped, contents clean and crisp. A very good plus copy in very good DUSTWRAPPER (dw: not price clipped, slightly worn with tiny chips at head and tail of spine and corners, spine edges very slightly rubbed, small light splash to upper panel near top edge, 5 tiny closed edge tears, maximum 10 mm (½"), very small ink name and date 1961 on front inner flap).
