Olive Higgins Prouty was known for the use of psychology and psychoanalysis in her novels. This is the first novel in her five book series about the Vale family, two of which were made into motion pictures. Prouty was also an "angel" who supported Sylvia Plath personally and financially. ; Real photo promotional postcard; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 390 pages .
