A very good copy. [Neate L05: Account of the Franco-Swiss expedition of 1954, reconnoitring the difficult Gaurisankar (7145m) and Menlungtse. The party then attempted Cho Oyu (8156m) being beaten by winter gales. Lambert, a Swiss guide, made an heroic attempt to gain Everest's south summit in 1952. Claude Kogan, a leading French climber, died on Cho Oyu in 1959].. First English.
