A European woman takes refuge with a Malay family and marries a Malay. After the war she's repatriated to France where her love is tested. Fair hardback 216 pages. Weight: 0.5 kg Post free within Malaysia There spine has darkened and there are about three or four insect holes in the cover. There is a smart personal label of a former owner on the inside front cover and a stamp and writing on the opposite page. The hinge between the front cover and book is cracked but holding. The binding is tight, text clear and there is medium tanning throughout.

The Penang Bookshelf was set up in mid 2010 principally to introduce Malaysian residents to the variety of books there is available about the country both past and present. We only stock fiction and non-fiction related to Malaysia and the rest of Asia. Much of our current stock of over a thousand different titles is not available in Malaysia. Conversely much of our stock published in Malaysia is difficult to find outside the country. So if there\'s something Malaysia related that you\'re looking for, do please contact us and we\'ll do our best to help. At present details of most of our stock is not on line; we hope it will be eventually!
