Complete with all plates and pages. Original blue covers with silver lettering spine. The book has nice clean covers, bright gilt, no rubbing, tiny bump top edge of front cover, some sunning along very bottom edge of rear cover, old owner gift inscription on the front pastedown otherwise no previous owner writing or marks on any pages (other than the signatures of Heckmair and Harrer), tight binding, a little foxing on the short-title and on the title page but no foxing on all other pages. The original dust jacket has rubbed corners and spine ends, some rubbing to spine with some loss of color in places, similar rubbing edges of rear panel, original printed price still present on flap corner. The book measures 235mm tall x 155mm, and has 240 pages, 58 photos (4 in color + b/w foldout), chronology of climbs, b/w foldout diagram of the Eigerwand, route information, index.
