Near Fine in a Very Good jacket, unclipped ($5.95), lightly soiled, rubbed at the edges and with a couple small chips. Cream cloth, a few stray stains, with blue and brown ink lettering and designs on the spine and front board. Square and firmly bound with a brown top stain, clean internally. Stead's acclaimed novel about the Pollit family and the patriarch Sam, who is "given to incredible flights of imagination, and mysterious, often sadistic entertainments.
