Sobre este artículo

Garden City/New York: Doubleday, Page & Company, 1915. This speculative novel is notable as it is presumed to be the first work of fantasy or science fiction to include nuclear power as an element. Arthur Train (1875-1945) wisely chose as his co-author a physicist, Robert Williams Wood (1868-1955). This is a Very Good (Plus) copy of the First Edition. [Bleiler, 195.] Decorative dark blue binding featuring a ray from the sky, printed in black and silver; titling in gilt on spine and the front cover. [Quercus notes that the co-author only appears within, on the title page.] Clean text; 228 pages. Coloured frontispiece and illustrated boards by Walter l. Greene. Inked notation (1924) on the half-title. Tiny bit of rub to the margins; gilt on spine is dulled but perfectly readable. Lacking a dustjacket; in an archival plastic protector.. First Edition. Decorative Cloth. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. Illus. by Walter L. Greene. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
