Illustrations include a view of Bishop Lighthouse, a view at Hughtown, St. Mary's, a view of Tresco Abbey, Nag's Head Rock at St. Agnes, Pulpit Rock at St. Mary's, Logan Stone, Loaded Camel Rock at St. Mary's, and others of the various flowers in bloom. In good pictorial boards, with colour picture of imp-like figure seated under tree with a blond girl holding a lamp and a mouse in coat and holding a walking stick and hat. With beige cloth spine. The covers are quite firm and straight; unmarked; edge-worn particularly on corners. Very lightly tanned free end papers featuring small red and white and black illustrations; name on front paste down. Foxed and lightly tanned cut edges. Very good text bock, tightly bound, square and mostly unmarked pages with b/w drawings on every page and colour frontispiece. Small illustration on page 95 has been colored by a previous owner. Issued without jacket. This edition seems to be rare.
