Beige cloth with black and red ink lettering and designs on the spine and front board. Square and firmly bound with a red top stain, clean internally. Warner's debut novel of three brothers seeking freedom and naturalness, a satire of British society in the early 20th century, hailed by C. Day Lewis as "one of the very few original works of art we have seen in England since the war.
