New York: Harper and Brothers, 1896 A solid book, hinges intact, has a very slight lean. Brown end papers , numerous engravings including the frontispiece have tissue protection intact. Minor reading smudges and very little foxing although tissues are yellowed.. Brown boards with gilt decoration of gorilla , guns and title. Spine gilt is very dulled although title in embossed. Bumping and rubbing to most edges indicative of shelfwear.
