Inscribed and signed by Arnold Herr [difficult to make out] to Michael Hecht, two other signatures on the title page, one by Stephen Gertz and the other unknown. Light shelf wear. Text is unmarked. Binding crisp, tight. The author worked for over twenty years at the legendary Cosmopolitan Bookshop on Melrose Ave. in Hollywood, which was owned and run by Eli Goodman for over fifty years. This is a fictional account by Herr, whose articles were originally published in the ABAA Newsletter and then on the Booktryst website which was founded by Stephen Gertz. A wild gonzo journey into the old days of bookselling and scouting.
