Sobre este artículo
Troll, 1996. Soft Cover. Near Fine. First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. ISBN:0152012672. A biography of the African-American woman who overcame crippling polio as a child to become the first woman to win three gold medals in track in a single Olympics. Wilma Rudolph had plenty of love and attention from her parents and her 21 brothers and sisters while she was growing up in the 1940s in Clarksville, Tennessee. When she contracted polio, the doctor said she would never walk again--but Wilma refused to believe him. Over the years, Wilma overcame incredible odds to become one of the world's finest athletes. Full Color. Very slight rubbing on the bottom of the spine. There is a crease down the front cover & back cover next to the spine. The very tip of the bottom front corner is curled. Stamp on FFep, says "An Encore! Book, Friends of Ida Public Library", but this is NOT a x-library book. Book was purchased at an event put on at the library where the public brought in their books and the library stamped them all as they were brought in..
