Boston: The Cornhill Company, 1920 This RARE hard cover is in VERY GOOD CONDITION. No jacket. 65pp bound in two-tone paper over boards with black cloth spine and gilt lettering. This book of poetry was inspired by travel in the Tropics, with a group of War poems touching upon events in the World War. Cover corners worn, gilt on spine rubbed, with slight age darkening, foxing on endpapers only. BINDING AND HINGES STRONG AND TIGHT. No labels, inscriptions or markings. The author traveled worldwide with her Father - Dr. Henry Rose Carter - who originated the modern quarantine system and laid the foundation of the work that was to rid the world of Yellow Fever. Laura Armistead Carter collaborated with her Father and Dr. Wade Hampton Frost in the book "Yellow Fever, an Epidemiological and Historical Study of It's Place of Origin, with funding by the Rockefeller Foundation.
