Pale yellow cloth boards with light blue outline of a tree and sars to the front. Light blue title to spine. Very light shelfwear to board edges and spine. Rubbing to dustjacket edges, with chips and closed tears to all dustjacket edges. Larger chip to base of dustjacket spine. Protected in mylar. Originally published in 1923, this book introduces Gentian and Kay, ages 8 and 9, who, with their mother, have been separated from their father by the reality of war; with the arrival of a servant girl, Detra, from the mountains, the children are introduced to the Clear Land and the Wind Boy. The author heself made the revisions for this edition, which was produced "in full compliance with all war production board conservation orders."
