Sobre este artículo
This is an extraordinary association copy, inscribed by the author on the ffep to Captain Joseph Alfred Heenan (1892-1985), OBE, captain of Canadian Coastal Forces Atlantic during the Second World War. Born at Newcastle-on-Tyne, he was 15 when he first went to sea. After service with the Royal Navy in the First World War, he came to Canada in 1930 and served with the Royal Canadian Navy in the Second World War. His service earned him the OBE. He died in Ottawa in 1985 at age 93. Book itself is near fine, remarkable for a book that is more than 50 years old. The dj, alas, as illustrated, has seen better days, with two pieces missing, one front, one back. Now protected in an archival cover. Laid-in a a brief biography of Heenan.
