New York: Harper and Brothers Publishing, 1934. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Nice FIRST edition. I( I-I September 1934) FIRST printing with very light fade to top edge, in black cloth 1/4 binding over green cloth with black corner tips. Dust jacket spine is slightly darkened. Jacket is not clipped($2.00). Book is very clean and unopened. This is a collection rich in beauty and variety of theme. Among the notable things included is the sequence of sonnets entitled Epitaph for the Race of Man. Poems were written between 1931 and 1934. The wine from these grapes is rare and precious, something to be tasted again and again and something to be long remembered. A rare and very fine collectible.
