Very nice copy, minor shelfwear, otherwise as new. Morton has written a comprehensive guide for the layperson interested in the wines of the Eastern United States and Canada. She discusses history, grape varieties, climate, politics, and wine-making techniques. An important section covers winegrowing in each of the Eastern states and provinces, drawing interesting comparisons between current vinicultural practices and those of the past century. The book is profusely illustrated with maps, drawings, and photographs which complement the text.
