Printed on hand made paper and limited to 500 copies. This is number 117.The anthology is intended as an appreciation of Indian literature and scholarship by the linguist, novelist and translator Lin Yutang. His polished and relaxed style of writing has brought him fame all around the world. He also translated many Chinese texts into English. In the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. The dust wrapper is worn to the extremities and has a few tears and marks. The binding has some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There is some light marking to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are very bright and clean. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
