Delta Burke. "I love being an assertive, uppity woman. What's the alternative?" Erica Jong. "Men are too emotional to vote. Their conduct at baseball games and political conventions shows this." Alice Duer Miller. The postage stamp images include Edna Ferber, Mary Lyon, Ida Tarbell, Mary Chestnutt, Lydia Mendoza, Lucille Ball, Shirley Chisholm, Julia De Burgos, Imogen Cunningham, Louise Nevelson, Oveta Culp Hobby, Flannery O'Connor, Joyce Chen, and Nellie Cashman. Always interesting and almost always provocative, the book itself is witty.
