Sobre este artículo
[n.p: n.p.], 1872. Fine. One leaf folded into 8 pages. Each page approximately 6 3/4" x 10 1/4" with 2 columns of print. Unopened. This is an 1872 campaign document, supporting U. S. Grant for President. It includes an open letter from William Lloyd Garrison to Charles Sumner, dated August 3, 1872, which chastises Sumner for supporting Horace Greeley for President and for encouraging new-enfranchised "colored" people to vote against Grant. There is also an open letter from James G. Blaine to Sumner with a similar message. Finally, there is a letter from John A. Dix opposing Greeley's candidancy and an analysis of war debt reduction during the Grant administration.
