Desclée de Brouwer et cie., Paris, five volumes, nd (1936-1946), first editions of the complete work covering the whole period of Mozart's life, 1756 to 1791; large 8vo, pp xiv, 526, contents vol I, 457, contents vol II, 424, contents vol III, 398, errata and contents vol IV, 368, errata and contents vol V; in-text illustrations and with several plates in each volume, mainly of musical elements or scores; original paper wrappers printed in red and black; neat ownership inscriptions of two different owners on the half titles; foot of the spine of vol II slight torn and the head and foot of the spine of vol V also a little torn; some inevitable dust or other markings on the covers but generally a good, tight, clean and complete copy of this important and comprehensive work. The first two volumes are by both authors, the remaining three by the musicologist and Mozart specialist Saint-Foix alone. NOTE that the total weight of the five volumes comes to around 4,250g, unpacked, and that therefore a surcharge on the standard posting rates will be made, subject to destination and carrier. This will be negotiated and advised before completing the order.
