Issued in 'The Contemporary Science Series' (ed. by Ellis himself). xxiii+563; very faint browning to front endpaper, textblock a little shaken and end-gutters slack, though undamaged, covers clean but extremities and joints slightly rubbed. The 5th and, I think, final edition of this influential work which was first published in 1896 (with 409 main text pp.), the successive editions documenting the evolution of Ellis's position away from orthodox sexual stereotyping.
