Larger format HC in publisher's green cloth with color pictorial panel mounted to the cover board. 1st edition presumed. Contents remain soundly bound and complete with color blates and b&w drawings by William Donahey. A long closed tear to the cloth the length of the rear joint has been archivally mended with judicious application of PVA. Front hinge tender with partial tear to lining pages in the hinge archivally mended with japanese kozo paper. The color pictorial panel mounted to the coverhas a few small surface abrasions and scratches and is showing the texture of the cloth through the design; there are also a few mild stary ink and pencil scribbles. Here and there some young child pencil marginalia has been erased; some scattered mild finger soiling to pages. Prior ownership in pencil at front; binding a little shaken with a few instances of mild gapping between signatures. Bottom front corner of the pages mid book have a mild damp wave or tide mark. Uncommon. Filler copy; Good only at best .
