Belonged to Harold Meloy of Shelbyville , In. noted Mammoth Cave historian and author of "The Mummies of Mammoth Cave" with his small address label to the top front paste down. This copy is NEAR FINE. Exterior lightly rubbed to the extremities, but rich in color. Gilt is bright. Inside front paste down has small errata slip pasted on. Otherwise unmarked, crisp, and tight with modest toning. With Illustrations. Frontispiece of the author. Outstanding copy with nice provenance.SCARCE. Only one other on Abe as of December 2021. .
