Gertrude Jekyll Wrote many articles and books on gardening. Her influence on the Classic Garden Design is still felt today. Associated With Architect Edwin Lutyens, They Both Were Very influential in the Arts & Crafts Movement. Almost All Of Jekyll s Garden Design Work Is Lost, but Her home garden At Munstead Wood are still there. Her Impressionistic Color Use in Garden Design is attributed to Her Myopic Eyesight That Afflicted her in later life. Wood And Garden Her First Remains a Classic. The Book is inscribed at the Half-Title : Caroline Eden From Gertrude Feby 1899 . Caroline was Jekyll s Elder Sister, Who Married Frederick Eden, ( Great Uncle to the Future English Prime Minister Anthony Eden) And himself author of A Garden In Venice. Wood And Garden Followed from a series of Articles written for the Manchester Guardian. A publishing Success this book had six printings in Its first year.
