A very good to fine six volume set in the original bindings with vols V and VI still in their original cellophane wrappers. Small ownership inscription on front end-paper of vols. I and II. First editions thus published between 1951 and 1974. This is the first complete edition of Ramsay's entire writings "containing every poem, letter, preface and miscellaneous work known to be Ramsay's own, together with a number of putative items and verses written about the poet by his contemporaries." Includes a bibliography of Ramsay's works, notes to vols. I-V, a glossary of Scots words in vols III and IV, a biographical index, an index of first lines and a general index. Difficult to find as a complete set. Photographs available on request. [Please note this six volume set will incur extra postage].
