No. 78 of 999 limited edition copies of this work in the Ambassadors" edition, in full morocco bindings with gold tooling to the front board and spine. Top edge gilt. Gilt-stamped to the tail of the spine reads "Saint Dunstan Binding". Printed and sold only to subscribers by M. Walter Dunne. The works of Benjamin Disraeli, Earl of Beaconsfield, including his novels, romances, plays, poems, biography, short stories, and speeches, with a critical introduction by Edmund Gosse, librarian to the House of Lords, and a biographical preface by Robert Arnot. Illustrated with frontispieces to each volume. Four further plates to Volumes I and II. Three further plates to Volumes III and VIII. Two further plates to Volumes IV, V, VI, VII, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XV, XVI, XVII, XVIII, XIX. One further plate to Volume IX and XX. Collated, complete. With chromolithograph half title pages to each volume, and a double-page chromolithograph limitation to Volume I, in colour with gilt detailing. Volume IV contains an interesting insertion: "NOTICE: How to open a book, from "Modern Bookbinding"". Externally generally smart, with rubbing and fading to the spines and rubbing to the extremities. Binding is detached from the text block to Volume XII. Small losses of decoration to the spine of Volume VI and to the front board of Volume VII. Significant loss to the head of the spines to Volume I and XX; small loss to the head of the spines to Volumes II, VI, IX and XVII. Front hinge is slightly strained to Volume I and XIII. Front hinge strained to Volumes XVIII and XX, with webbing showing. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
