A new edition with a portrait frontispiece in eleven volumes plus four volumes of her memoirs by William Roberts bound as one uniform set. Fine half leather, crushed Morocco bindings by Morley of Oxford in mid tan and contrasting marble paper covered boards, gilt stamped gibbs armorial devices on the front and rear boards, 4 raised bands, gilt ruled compartments, gilt titling to spine, very good with very little wear, joints firm. Contents clean and tight, matching marble endpapers, bright gilt to top of page edges, private armorial book plate of Henry Martin Gibbs (High Sheriff of Somerset) of Burrow Court Somerset, very small stamp to front blank from Somerset record office, no inscriptions, a little foxing to the first and last few pages of most volumes.
