New York: G. P. Putnam's Sons,, 1891-97. A handsome set The Knickerbocker Edition of the Irving collected works, attractively bound. 40 volumes, octavo (170 x 108 mm). Contemporary red half morocco by W. Roach of New York, spines lettered in gilt, marbled sides and endpapers, top edges gilt, other untrimmed. Frontispiece with captioned tissue-guard to each volume, integral black and white illustrations throughout. Slight nick at head of Alhambra vol. II, very sporadic patches of rubbing, bindings otherwise fresh, very light foxing to endpapers and tissue-guards else contents clean; a handsome set.
