Sobre este artículo
William Rogers, Timoth Goodwin, John Nicholson, Jacob Tonson, John Pemberton, and Benjamin Tooke. Collectible - Acceptable. London: William Rogers, Timoth Goodwin, John Nicholson, Jacob Tonson, John Pemberton, and Benjamin Tooke, 1710 and 1712. Volume 1 6th edition; Volume 2 likely first with no additional printings. 2-volume set. Folio hardcover in early full-leather binding with six raised bands to each spine. Title in plain gilt in the second compartment, volume number in the third, and publication date in the seventh. Two decorative blindstamped frames to each board, one nestled inside the other, with decorative finials from the corners of the outer frame. Thin blindstamped border just to the edge of east board. Page edges dyed red. Unpaginated preface and table of contents+755 and [viii]+682, plus an unpaginated index at the rear of each volume. Drop caps to first letter of Sermon I in volume one, and first letter of Sermon CV in volume two. Fair; inside near very good. Lightly marked exlib from the Paton Library at Mansfield College, Oxford, with bookplate and pencil inscription to front pastedown, and pencil call number to first text page of each volume. All boards detached, moderately scuffed and rubbed with small cracks to leather. Moderately edgeworn with some loss of leather just to board edges and corners rubbed. Spine leather is quite firm, rubbed to raised bands, and spine tips worn and frayed. Page edges toned, and moderate toning and foxing throughout. Volume 1 has a previous owner's inscription, dated 1841, inked to second front endpaper. The frontispiece of Tillotson is lacking, and the rather battered title page has been trimmed and pasted to a new sheet of contemporary paper. Pencil marginalia to about first 20 pages. Small pencil scribble to rear pastedown. Patch to the leather of the front board of volume 2, a small very shallow dampstain to bottom edge, and scoring and underlining to a few pages. Despite the detached boards, both bindings are firm and tight, and the paper is in very nice condition. Inquire if you need further information.

Sobre Wonder Book
With 3 stores less than 1 hour outside the DC/Metropolitan area (1 in Gaithersburg, 1 in Frederick and 1 in Hagerstown, MD), we have the largest selection of books in the tri-state area. Wonder Book and Video has been in business since 1980 and online since 1997. We have over 1 Million books for sale on our website and another 1 Million books for sale in our 3 locations. We have a very active online inventory and as such, we can receive multiple orders for the same item. We fill those orders on a first come first serve basis, but will refund promptly any items that are out of stock. Since 1980 it has always been about the books. ALL kinds of books from 95 cent children\'s paperbacks to five figure rare and collectibles. A merging of the old and new is where we started, and it is where we are today. Our retail stores have always been places where a reader can rush in looking for a title needed for a term paper that is due the next day, or where bibliophiles can get lost \"in the stacks\" for as long as they wish. In 2002 USAToday recognized us as \"1 of 10 Great Old Bookstores\", and we have been featured in numerous other newspaper and TV stories including Washington Post and CSpan.
