A rare set of the works of Shakespeare. In the mid-19th-century, Charles Knight published an illustrated edition of the works of William Shakespeare, a set that proved to be very popular throughout the late 1800s. This set includes numerous in-text engravings of prominent characters from the artwork depicting scenes from each of the plays.
This stunning 1875 Knight edition was printed in two leather-bound tomes, filled with 340 illustrations by John Gilbert.
