London: Thomas Tegg, 1845. Full-Leather. Very Good. Complete 5 Volume set of William Paley's Works, devoted to Christianity and Natural History. All very handsomely bound in Purple/Brown Calf Leather, with Gilt Decoration and Lettering to Spines, gilt Lines and embossing to front and back and gilt design to cover edges. Page edges & Endpapers Marbled. Some rubbing to leather, the gilt and marbling is still bright. Vol I, "Evidences of Christianity" 428 Pages, one or 2 spots of foxing to firat and last pages, more on endpapers but light. Vol II, "Moral & Political Philosophy" 531 Pages, light foxing to endpapers a few spots on title page, Vol III "Horae Paulinae" 442 Pages, Some foxing to endpapers, a little to title and last page, Vol IV "Natural Theology" Contains Anatomical and Zoological Plates, some light foxing to plates, Vol V "Sermons" 407 Pages, a little light foxing to endpapers. Overall in very nice condition for age. Please ask if you would like any more information or photographs. Heavy set (over 4 Kilos) so Postage outside UK will be extra. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
