Dust jacket spine discoloured, has shelf wear, chipping to edges, price unclipped. 8vo. Written in the 1930's to describe the wonderful advances in atomic science in the early part of the century and is divided into three main sections: The Golden Age of the Great Discoveries; The Outworks of the Atoms Fall and The Riddle of the Nuclei of the Atoms - the Epoch of the New Discoveries. Translated from Danish by Gerald C Wheeler and Bernard Miall.
