Sobre este artículo
This is a first edition of The World of Delacroix 1798-1863, which covers the life and work of the great French painter Eugene Delacroix, the leader of the French Romantic school. It is part of the Library of Art series published by Time-Life Books. It covers the artist's long and successful career, and discusses how his violent subject matter, intense passion, use of bright color and brilliant technique changed the art world forever and heavily influenced subsequent generations. The text is jargon-free, informative and interesting, without being condescending. It's full of gorgeous photographs, drawings and detail.
No dust jacket. There are a few tiny marks on the cover but it's otherwise in mint condition.
