My listing includes PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. Book VERY GOOD PLUS/ Boards Fine/ Dust Jacket Very Good Plus. Boards and spine are blue cloth, lettering gilt. Dust jacket is white, lettering red/black, colour photo front and black/white photo on back, different images. Dust jacket is NOT PRICE CLIPPED, has a bit of age darkening on edges and flap folds, has one small chip and a few tiny creases on bottom DJ edge, top edge has a number of medium creases and some rips largest is 1 3/4 inch none have any missing paper. Book boards and spine are flat, clean, bright, no rips, no bent corners, no spine creases, very minor edge wear on bottom edges. Page edges slightly sunned. Inside of book is clean, bright, clear, flat, book is slightly over-opened at page 239 but no pages loose or missing, binding partially cracked at page 80 causing pages to be slightly out of alignment but no pages loose or missing, page 1 has two diagonal corner creases, fairly large, restored flat. A few pages dog eared about 1/2 inch, restored flat. Name, date, ink on ffep. End pages are voyage maps of the world, in red, front and back the same. Black/white sketches by Charles Hurford. 24 Colour photo plates. Maps, reproduction pages of diary and log book. Appendices including food lists, supplies, etc.

I'm very careful in describing my books accurately and I've done so to the best of my ability using the IOBA Book Condition guidelines. All items are from a smoke-free, clean, dry environment. My books are from a large private collection, very well taken care of and rarely handled. All descriptions and photos are of the actual books I'm selling. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my books, just ask. IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.
This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
