All octavo with brown cloth covered boards and gilt lettering on spine. Light foxing to preliminiaries, endpapers and outer edges of text block in all volumes. Vol 3 has some light spotting to boards. Else the text block is clean and tight on all three. All in soiled jackets, not price clipped. Jackets all show some light wear and creasing near edges, as well as some light chipping, especially at ends of spine and corners. Vol 1 has had a small amount of professional restoration done. A nice set scarce in jackets. very good Wells Society # 95. "This novel, the longest of its year, deals with a hero whose attitude of mind is very close to that of the author. It includes an attack on the education of the day, especially that being offered by the older universities, and an important section on the theory of world revolution.". 1926
