[16], 436pp. Later (mid-nineteenth century) full morocco, raised bands, spine in six panels, author / title in gilt to second, remaining panels with gilt central diamond made up of four tulip heads, with volute corner pieces, covers with central panel design with volute internal corner pieces and floral external corner pieces, gilt roll to edges and inner dentelles, a.e.g. comb and curl marbled endpapers. Very minor rubbing to extremities, internally some light browning and spotting but generally fairly clean. Previous owners bookplate to front pastedown, with another previous owners name to head of title, engraved frontispiece. Binding is J[ohn] Clarke, with his stamp to reverse of front marbled endpaper, who was described by Ramsden as "one of the best and most prolific of the London binders of the period". Wing T422. Reprint. Full Morocco. Very Good. 8vo.

It is open between 10am and 4pm weekdays, any other times by appointment. Not all of the books in the shop are listed on the website. We are members of the PBFA and ABA and exhibit at several of their book fairs, please see our fairs / events page.
