NY: Harper & Row, 1970. First edition, first prnt. Quarter-cloth and paper-covered boards, gray topstain. Inscribed by Gardner to a family member of the front free endpage. "Dec 10, 1970 Dear Aunt Lucy - Beautiful to have you visit us again Love as always Bud." ("Bud" was Gardner's familial nickname.) Cloth spine ends with shallow wrinkles, one board corner just tapped; dustjacket with minimal shelfwear and toning, mostly on the topedges, bottom edges with faint dampstain. Tight copy in Very Good condition in a Very good dustjacket with an archival cover, Unusual as such.. Inscribed & Dated by Author. First Edition. Hardcovers. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Association Copy.
