Charles Edward Montague (1867-1928) was an editor and journalist, with the Manchester Guardian from 1890 to 1925, apart from a break for his war service. This book was published from his notes posthumously. Introductory by H.M. Tomlinson who knew Montague in WWI. This is a collection of analytical essays which reflect Montague's work as a critic and his thoughts on writing. A clean very presentable copy.
