"This book of pictures has been compiled from the Napoleonic collection of broadsheets, cartoons and prints bequeath to the University of Oxford by the Marquess Curzon, – – it sets out to show and prove the similarity of the situation in 1803 and 1940, 1812 and 1941, 1799 and 1943 respectively."
