Tan leather, gilt letters on 4 raised band spine, gilt decoration along binding edges; 556 pp., few maps and document reproductions. The sixth volume only of a 12-volume set of these writings from the first American President. Comprised of: Official letters relating to the French War; Private letters before the American Revolution; Early papers; Death of Jumonville; Battle of the Great Meadows; Braddock's Defeat; The Ohio Company; Walpole's Grant; Miscellaneous; Fairfax County Resolves; American Independence; Brief extracts from a diary; Independent companies; Extracts from Washington's diary, 1760; and Journal of a tour to the Ohio River, 1770. Scarce, found on its own.
