Sobre este artículo
"The Wrong Box" by Robert Louis Stevenson and Lloyd Osbourne. 1899 1st Edition, 1st Printing; Charles Scribner's Sons; New York. NOTE: the torn piece of newspaper at the bottom of the front cover is actually part of the design of the cover.
THE WRONG BOX
A black comic novel about the last remaining survivors of a tontine - a group life-insurance policy in which the last surviving member stands to receive a fortune. It is a farcical, eccentric and brilliantly written piece of work.
Condition:
Light soiling to covers and spine. Tight binding. No loose pages. Foxing to front and rear pastedowns and end papers...no foxing found on text pages. Crack at hinge at front of book between two end papers. The pages are clean with the exception of a light stain that appears at the bottom-right corner of page 109 to the end of the book. Tear at the outer edge of pages 244 (last page of the novel) and the end paper that follows it. NOTE: the torn piece of newspaper at the bottom of the front cover is actually part of the design of the cover, and not a condition issue - there is a small scratch at the lower-left corner.
