A history of the Japanese-American 100th Infantry Battalion (Separate) in World War II, composed of more than 1400 Nisei (the American-born children of Japanese immigrants), including about 650 from the Heart Mountain Relocation Center in Wyoming. The battalion was later incorporated into the 442d Regimental Combat Team. The battalion(s) saw action in southern Italy, France, and Germany. Includes a Heart Mountain honor roll (noting those KIA), endnotes, a 10-page bibliography, and index.
