The original work was named: "ZHOU LIE GUOZHI," the 'new' edition is called "XIN ZHOU LIE GUOZHI" but is published as "DONG ZHOU LIE GUOZHI." . This set is bound in 12 separate stitched volumes, containing a total of 23 Juan [volumes] text, 108 Hui [chapters] in all, with 24 line drawings. The book is entirely woodblock printed, and complete as issued. . The whole set is contained in two wooden covers, with two hand-loomed cotton ribbon ties, in the traditional Chinese binding. . He used the 'courtesy' [studio] names Youlong, Gongyu, Ziyou or Eryou. He was a Chinese historian, novelist, and poet of the late Ming Dynasty.
